The history of the bell is not provided except for a cartoon drawing which shows it being rung. They Liberty Bell is currently located in Philadelphia which was a major city in the nascent years of America—it served as the second Capitol city for the new nation. The pictures are attractive, but the limited text is unlikely to inspire any young reader to request a trip to see this American symbol. The title is part of a series entitled "American symbol."
