All About Opposites" is a new series that offers very basic information, often using only the two words from the title of the book. The opposites are not on opposing pages rather a child and the "big" items are displayed on one page and when that page is turned, readers see a related "little" item. A big hot air balloon is compared to a small balloon held on a string. A big present, which a young girl holds in two hands, is compared to a small one held on the palm of a single hand. There is certainly a little more interest here than in the Tall and Short title. At the end the author offers a challenge to identify the big and little items, which are not really identified unless you are smart enough to use the index. The book closes with references that are reasonably current, links to two websites and an index. The book is identified as Guided Reading level "A" with the word count of sixteen., Children's Literature
