All About Opposites" is a new series that offers very basic information, often using only the two words from the title of the book. Tall and Short features a giraffe who represents tall. On each spread the same two words "tall/short" are used and a new short animal appears opposite the giraffe. Young readers will see a frog, owl, kitten, dog and other animals, none of which are identified. That is one of the biggest shortcomings of the book and in this reviewer's opinion a lost opportunity to identify the small creatures and even offer a word or two about them. The book closes with references that are reasonably current, links to two websites and an index. The book is identified as Guided Reading level "A" with the word count of twenty., Children's Literature
